The Berg-Hughes Center for Petroleum and Sedimentary Systems is a comprehensive interdisciplinary program that integrates geosciences, engineering, and related fields—uniting the Department of Geology and Geophysics with the Crisman Institute for Petroleum Research in the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering. Its mission is to advance collaborative research and education in petroleum studies, attract external funding to support teams of scientists, engineers, and students working on transformative projects, and develop future leaders in geosciences and engineering who are equipped to address the industry’s most complex petroleum-related challenges.
