Based on research concerning quantum physics and engineering across Texas A&M, the institute focuses on the study of new lasers from short-wavelength to high-power, quantum computing, advanced optical materials with applications in lithography and ultrafast signal processing, remote sensing from ocean temperature to sensors for nitric oxide, and nonlinear optics.
