Center for Nuclear Security Science and Policy Initiatives

Description

Established as a joint Texas A&M University and TEES institute within the Department of Nuclear Engineering and in collaboration with the George Bush School of Government and Public Service to to work collaboratively with national laboratories and other partners to develop and apply science and technology to detect, prevent, and reverse the proliferation of nuclear and radiological weapons and guard against nuclear terrorism; educate the next generation of leaders in the field of nuclear security sciences; and to study the policy implications of deploying new technologies. NSSPI provides research, education, and support in the area of nuclear security especially with respect to the interface between policy and technology.
