SRHRC seeks to meet the needs of rural and underserved populations, understand, identify and publish on the health needs of minority populations, reduce health disparities, and evaluate, build, maintain and evaluate the capacity of rural health systems delivery. The SRHRC is under the Health Policy & Management department of the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health.
